THE CLASSIC WESTERN BHUTAN ROUTE
7-day group itinerary
The daily order may change for weather, road conditions, local access or a festival opportunity. The essential route and confirmed services will be stated in your proposal.
- DAY 1
Arrive in Paro and travel to Thimphu. Meet your guide and fellow travellers.
- DAY 2
Explore Thimphu’s cultural landmarks, local crafts and everyday life.
- DAY 3
Cross Dochula Pass and continue to Punakha through changing mountain landscapes.
- DAY 4
Visit Punakha Dzong and enjoy a gentle valley walk before returning towards Paro.
- DAY 5
Discover Paro Valley, its historic sites and local town.
- DAY 6
Hike to Tiger’s Nest, with time for breaks and an alternative valley programme on request.
- DAY 7
Depart from Paro.

The final price depends on the selected departure, hotel category, room arrangement and government charges applicable to each traveller. We will provide a written per-person quotation before booking.

Small-group tour questions
When is a group departure confirmed?
A departure proceeds when at least four travellers have completed the booking requirements. We will confirm the operating status in writing before you purchase separate connecting travel.
What is the group size?
Each departure is planned for a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 travellers.
Can solo travellers join?
Yes. Solo travellers may join and can request either a single room with a supplement or shared accommodation where a suitable roommate is available and both travellers agree.
What happens if the minimum group is not reached?
We will discuss the available choices before the payment deadlines, such as moving to another departure, taking a revised private-tour quotation or receiving the refund stated in your booking terms.
Are international flights included?
International flights are not automatically included. We can discuss Drukair or Bhutan Airlines options, but routes, fares and availability must be confirmed for your dates.
